Lately I’m posting to quite a few blogs to publicize my own website, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, as far as we know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the wordpress the most favored blogging kit around the globe.

Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, the existence of blog networks already says it all, anyway those are other people’s asset and I have no control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to write real stuff for your blogs will be time consuming, you have to put in time and money to build a successful blog. Some blogs are quite interesting, look at this one, Human Resource Software, it’s name is pretty cute, and it has a lot of interesting posts, without a clear theme, there are all kinds of posts on the site. Check this one out, Feng Shui Book, this blog has a theme, all posts are following the same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. Its easy to show more similar sites, though I guess you get the point already. One more important point, you should build some casual blogs, let them get some content occasionally, such as this blog, America Picture, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.

If you have a few established blogs already, you can try to build a few more, use the old ones to promote the new ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. It sounds pretty simple, but to build a successful network will be much more complicated, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site dropped off index by major search engines.
